Police in Newark are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred at a tow yard in Newark's East Ward Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the early morning carjacking was reported just before 1 a.m. at the Dente Tow Yard, located in the 20's block of Raymond Boulevard.
Two black male suspects -armed with a gun- arrived at the facility and took a grey 2006 Mercedes Benz S430 then fled the scene.
The vehicle has a reported NY license plate number "JMZ-5058."
There were no physical injuries reported.
