Armed Carjacking on Duncan Avenue in Jersey City Under Investigation

Jersey City Police responded to an armed carjacking incident that occurred Monday afternoon on Duncan Avenue, fortunately resulting in no injuries.NinosAccording to reports, the incident happened shortly before 3:35 p.m. in the 20's block of the avenue. 

Authorities were alerted to the carjacking as it was in progress. They quickly issued a 'be on the lookout' alert to surrounding municipalities for a white Hyundai Accent with New Jersey license plate "E33-NUP."

The vehicle was reportedly taken at gunpoint by a suspect who fled the scene immediately after the incident.

As of now, the suspect remains at large, and the stolen vehicle has not been recovered.

The Jersey City Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the carjacking. 

The police urge anyone with information related to this crime to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation and help in the quick apprehension of the suspect.
