Authorities in Bloomfield are investigating a reported armed carjacking that happened in the city earlier this morning.
Police are looking for an older white male who brandished a sharp item (possibly a knife) at a victim occupying a silver Ford Crown Victoria in the area of Bellevue Ave. and Claremont Ave., taking the vehicle at around 11 a.m.
The vehicle has a reported license plate number "OYA-7876" last seen heading southbound on Claremont.
There were no reported injuries.
