Firefighters knocked down a fast-moving fire that ignited inside an apartment in Little Ferry on Thursday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to 466 Liberty Street at approximately 8:20 p.m. after they received reports of a fire inside a residence.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and noticed smoke coming from a unit of a Garden Style Apartment complex.
Crews were able to find the seat of the fire and extinguish the blaze before making entry into the home to check for trapped an injured occupants.
There were no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross assisted several displaced residents.
