Police in Newark are investigating a reported burglary of an apartment in a section of the city during the overnight hours.
Authorities were called to 220 Roseville Avenue to investigate reports of a burglary in progress around 2 a.m.
Units arrived at the multi-family brick apartment building and were told that a suspect broke into the apartment and stole several items, according to reports.
Units on the scene requested crime scene units to assist in the investigation, which remains active at this time.
No arrests were reported.
