Residents in the Newark and the North Jersey region should prepare for wet weather as showers and possibly a thunderstorm are expected, primarily afternoon.
According to The National Weather Service, the high temperature for the day is predicted to be around 81 degrees. The weather will be accompanied by a light southwest wind, shifting to the south and ranging from 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.
NWS meteorologist said the humidity level is at 68%, indicating a somewhat moist atmosphere. As for the atmospheric pressure, the barometer reads 29.74.
The chance of precipitation is notably high at 90%, suggesting a high likelihood of rain.
NWS forecasters said rainfall amounts are expected to range between half an inch and three-quarters of an inch.
Residents are advised to take precautions and be prepared for potentially heavy rain and the possibility of thunder. Keeping an umbrella handy and staying updated with the latest weather information as the day progresses is recommended.
