A customer at a Newark hair salon who was not happy with service she received this morning, left business owner cleaning up a mess she made after the woman began throwing items and damaging parts of the interior of the salon before fleeing the establishment early this afternoon.
According to store management, the woman - who has a history of complaining and requesting refunds for service obtained at the salon several times in the past- entered Max's Doobie Salon on Central Avenue to have her hair done.
Upon completion of services, the woman stated that she didn't like how her hair looked and asked for her money back store management said.
She was advised by store management that her money would not be returned and was asked to vacate the establishment.
According to management, after the woman listened to their refusal to grant her cash back, she began to shout and yell at several employees in the salon where she screamed at them and demanded her money back.
After no refund was issued, the woman began to go on a rampage in destroying the business by violently knocking over supplies, throwing items, and equipment from salon stations.
Police were called to location but upon their arrival, the woman had fled the salon.
Management said no one in the salon suffered injuries.
A report was made and police are investigating.
