Newark Police officials request the public’s help identifying a female wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, June 16.
According to police, at approximately 6:15 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Halsey Street on a call of a robbery.
A man who had agreed with a female to meet her to purchase an iPhone 12 Pro Max arrived at the location to make the transaction.
Police said the woman called another man, who arrived and robbed the male victim at gunpoint, taking his wallet and other personal property.
According to police, the victim struggled with the male suspect before another male suspect arrived at the scene, pointing a handgun at the victim.
Police said one of the suspects, Mr. Azmar Singleton, 21, of Orange, was arrested in this incident on July 8th.
Authorities charged him with robbery, conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and certain persons prohibited from weapon possession.
While police continue to investigate this incident actively, they seek the public’s help quickly identifying the female suspect pictured below.
