Cranford Police briefly followed suspects occupying a vehicle that was confirmed stolen in a section of the town Friday morning.
According to preliminary information, at approximately 3:35 a.m., police came across a white 2018 Mazda that registration came back stolen from the 200 block of Burnside Avenue sometime during the overnight.
When police attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver ignored the officer's lights and sirens then sped away according to reports.
Police say the car was last seen heading into Roselle and a pursuit of the vehicle never occurred.
The car has a reported NJ license plate number 'P64-LGZ'. Police believe suspects occupying a a red Honda Civic accompanied the Mazda.
The incident is under investigation and the suspects remain at-large.
