Newark officials are asking for the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Teresa Maki of West Palm Beach, Florida, who was reported missing on Friday, December 27. 
According to a statement released by the Newark Police Department, Ms. Maki, who has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress syndrome, arrived at Newark International Airport on December 24.
She was detained at the airport along with a male companion and subsequently transported to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for evaluation.
Authorities report that Ms. Maki fled the hospital and may now be heading to Brooklyn.
Ms. Maki is described as white, 4 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing approximately 100 pounds, with blonde hair.
Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. is urging anyone with information on Ms. Maki’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
