Newark Police are on the search for several suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred Thursday.
According to police, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to the 300-block of South 18th Street on a robbery call
Police say a male victim arrived at the location in his vehicle to meet a woman he communicated with online who used the name “Amy”.
While waiting for the woman, police say three men entered the victim’s vehicle, drove him to an unknown location then robbed him of his cash and personal property.
The suspects then drove the victim back to South 18th Street before fleeing the vehicle according to police.
Authorities describe the female suspect as a Hispanic, approximately 19-years-old, 5’6’ tall and 120 lbs. Police say she has shoulder-length, brunette hair.
According to police the first of three African-American male suspects is approximately 21 years of age, 5’11” tall and weighs approximately 250 lbs. He has short, curly hair and was wearing a red crew-neck sweater.
Police described the second suspect as an 18 to 19-years-old with a thin build. Police say he is about 5’10” tall with neck-length dread locs and was wearing a black shirt. The remaining suspect is 18-22-years-old and has a medium build.
Detectives investigating this incident are actively searching for these suspects and are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from Newark streets.
