Newark Police requests the public’s help with identifying several suspects wanted for assaulting and robbing a victim of $700 on August 12.
Officers responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. at Jefferson and Lafayette Streets.
Police say three Black males confronted the victim at that location, and one of them demanded that he give up his belongings.
When he refused, the suspects reportedly punched and kicked the victim and took $700 from him.
According to police, suspect #1 is described as 5’9” with a thin build, full beard, short hair, and a brown complexion. He was wearing all-black clothing with grey Nike sneakers.
Suspect #2 is described as 5’9” with a medium build, shoulder-length dreadlocks, a full beard, and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black shirt, burgundy shorts, and red Nike sneakers.
Police said suspect #3 is described as 5’9” with a thin build, short dreadlocks, facial hair, and a medium brown complexion.
He was wearing a white T-shirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers.
