Authorities in the Essex County town of Bloomfield are on the search for suspects responsible for stealing dogs from a car in the township Monday.
According to Bloomfield Police officials, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the victim, who drove a GMC SUV, pulled into 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Mavis Discount Tire) and entered the store but left three small dogs in the vehicle.
Bloomfield Police said shortly after 4:49 p.m., a black newer model Acura MDX with possible temp tags entered the parking lot and parked next to our victim's GMC.
Police say the suspect exited from the passenger side of the Acura, walked up to the victim's vehicle, and removed three dogs out of the rear passenger window.
Surveillance video observed the suspect's vehicle exit the parking lot and travel eastbound on Bloomfield Avenue toward Newark.
