Newark authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Deidre Moses, a 28-year-old resident of Bloomfield, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday, August 24.
Police said at around 1:30 a.m. on that fateful day, the Newark Police responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 40s block of North 4th Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot while inside a residence.
The incident unfolded when suspects outside the home fired at the residence.
Prior to the shooting, police said the victim had heard a disturbance outside involving individuals vandalizing a nearby vehicle.
The suspects discharged a firearm, striking the home and causing injury to East Orange Pastor Timothy Huff. He was rushed to University Hospital for medical attention and is currently reported to be in critical condition.
Detectives investigating the incident have identified Deidre Moses as a suspect in the shooting and have obtained a warrant for her arrest.
She is described as standing 5'5" tall, weighing 120 pounds, and bearing a chest tattoo with the word "Ram."
