Newark Police requests the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a carjacking that occurred on Sunday, September 12.
Police say at approximately 5:45 p.m., police responded to Martin Luther King Boulevard and West Kinney Street on a carjacking call.
According to police, the male suspect pulled the victim out of his vehicle, a 2016 Honda Accord, just after parking.
The suspect entered the vehicle and fled. The victim was treated by EMS at the scene for minor cuts due to falling after being pulled.
Police later recovered the vehicle, running and unoccupied, in the 100 block of Barclay Street.
Detectives investigating this incident obtained the below photos of the suspect and requested the public’s help quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation.
