ALERT: Search Underway for Stolen French Bulldog in Newark

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help locating a French bulldog stolen on Friday, August. 

According to police, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the victim, a 13-year-old boy, was walking the family’s dog, named Ted “Teddy” Dibiase, in the 400 block of South 19th Street.

Police said a white jeep occupied by four males pulled up behind the victim.

The occupants exited and snatched the dog before fleeing with the dog inside the car, heading eastbound on South Orange Avenue.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly locating the dog so it can be returned to its rightful owners.

The suspects are each described as Black males who were wearing gloves. The driver of the suspect vehicle also wore a ski mask.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of the French bulldog, Ted “Teddy” Dibiase, to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
