The Newark Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in locating Samiiyah Lopez-McMillan, a 12-year-old girl from Newark, reported missing as of today, February 22. 
Samiiyah was last seen over two weeks ago, on February 6, in the area of the 90 block of Fabyan Place.
When last observed, she was wearing black jeans and a grey jacket. The circumstances of her disappearance have not been provided, but the urgency and concern in the police's request are evident.
Director Fragé of the Newark Police Department is calling on anyone with information regarding Samiiyah's current location to come forward.
The community is urged to contact the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
In an effort to encourage public participation, it's been emphasized that all tips received through this line will remain confidential.
Furthermore, information leading to Samiiyah's whereabouts may be eligible for a reward.
