The New Jersey Transit North East Corridor Line rail service is currently suspended between Trenton and Penn Station in New York City.
This disruption, caused by an Amtrak signal issue, has led to significant changes in the regular schedule of several NJ Transit lines.
Accoridng to NJ Transit, commuters using the New Jersey Coast Lines will have to adjust their travel plans, as trains on this line will now operate only between Bay Head and Avenel.
Additionally, the Raritan Valley Line rail service is limited to operating between Raritan and Cranford.
Transit officials announced that Midtown Direct rail service is being diverted to Hoboken, offering an alternative route for those affected by the suspension.
To assist passengers during this period of service interruption, NJ Transit has arranged for cross-honoring of rail tickets and passes by PATH at Newark, Hoboken, and the 33rd Street station in New York.
This measure is expected to alleviate some of the travel difficulties faced by daily commuters and occasional travelers alike.
NJ Transit urges customers to stay updated on the latest service changes and advises visiting their official website at njtransit.com for real-time information and further assistance.
As the situation develops, NJ Transit remains committed to keeping passengers informed and minimizing inconvenience during this unplanned service disruption.
