ALERT: Newark Authorities on Alert After Bergen County Home Invasion Suspects Flee Into City

Authorities in Bergen County are actively searching for suspects involved in an early morning home invasion and robbery in Fair Lawn, with the stolen vehicles last seen in Newark’s North Ward.  

The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday when police responded to reports of a burglary in progress at a residence on the 2900 block of Berdan Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found an injured occupant inside the home, believed to be the homeowner, who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the break-in.

Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene for treatment.  

Initial reports indicate that the suspecst forced entry into the home before stealing two vehicles—a 2025 black BMW X5 and a 2015 black Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

The stolen vehicles were tracked heading southbound on NJ-21 before being spotted in Newark’s North Ward on Garside Avenue.  

Authorities have launched an active and ongoing investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward as law enforcement works to locate the suspects and recover the stolen vehicles.
