Essex County and Port Authority officer are actively investigating a reported carjacking that occurred at the Newark Liberty International Airport this evening.
Police are continuing t look into the circumstances regarding the incident but according to preliminary reports, before 5:30 p.m., two male suspects -who wore masked- approached the driver of a white Ford F-150 and took the vehicle.
According to reports, the vehicle had a yellow quad ATV in the rear when the suspects sped northbound on Route 1&9.
Police believe the vehicle is within the Newark city limits; possibly the North Ward.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries and it is not clear of the suspect produced a weapon at this time.
