Police in Newark are reporting that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Mr. Faheem Green, 19, on two counts of robbery and conspiracy in connection with two incidents that occurred on Friday, April 24th and Tuesday, April 28th.
Police say at approximately 11 a.m., on April 24th, a woman in the 200 block of Chestnut street was robbed of her purse by a male and female.
The suspects fled on foot, heading eastbound on Chestnut Street and turning left onto Adams Street. The victim’s cash and personal property were taken.
Police say on April 28th, another woman, walking in the 100 block of Chestnut Street, was approached by a male and a female fitting the same description as in the previous incident.
The male stole her purse, containing cash and personal items, before fleeing on foot, heading eastbound on Chestnut Street, again turning left onto Adams Street.
Detectives investigating these incidents developed sufficient evidence to identify Faheem Green as a suspect in both incidents and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
While police are actively searching for Green, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him as part of this investigation.
Police say Green is described as 6-ft. tall and 150 lbs. He has a dark brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo with the word “Foe” on his left hand.
