Newark Police officials requests the public’s help with identifying a suspect who was captured on surveillance video assaulting a resident on June 14.
According to official, Newark Police responded to a call around 10:55 p.m.about someone screaming for help from an apartment in the 500 block of Central Avenue.
Upon arrival, the victim told officers that the suspect, who was looking for her friend, kicked in the apartment door and punched her in the face several times after she could not tell him where he could find her friend.
Police said the suspect is described as 5’6’’ with a dark complexion and a dreadlock hairstyle.
He was last seen wearing a black fanny bag across his shoulders.
