ALERT: Man Wanted for Attacking a NJ Transit Bus Driver in Newark

Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that occurred in January onboard a NJ Transit bus.

According to police, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a passenger on a New Jersey Transit bus in the area of Maple and Lyons avenues assaulted the bus driver following a quarrel.

Police say the man then exited the bus and ran from the scene.

The bus driver did not suffer life-threatening injuries according to police.
