Police are on the search for several suspects who are wanted for a carjacking that occurred in Newark.
The early morning armed carjacking occurred before 5:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Lake Street in the city's North Ward.
According to preliminary reports, a vehicle believed to be a white 4-door 2016 Nissan, that was occupied by four black males, pulled up to the location and confronted the victim at gunpoint.
Two of the suspects exited the car and pointed a gun at the victim then took a gray 2013 4-door Altima reports said.
The carjacked vehicle has a reported New Jersey license plate number "J97-GGY". The vehicle was last observed speeding westbound on Bloomfield Avenue towards the city of Bloomfield.
There were no physical injuries reported.
