This community alert comes to you from Newark's Ironbound section where police are on the search for at least one suspect who reportedly carjacked a vehicle in the 200 block of Jefferson.
The vehicle is a silver 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe before 7:00 am according to reports. The vehicle has a Maryland license plate number "8BG-6657.
The suspect sped away in the vehicle east onto Malvern.
It is not clear if a weapon was used in the carjacking.
UPDATE 7:32 am The suspects are two black males and one Hispanic male armed with guns. No physical injuries at this time.
