Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday, May 9th.
According to a statement released by police, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the victim was robbed at gunpoint by a male in the 700-block of Clinton Avenue.
Police say the victim was sitting inside a parked work van when the suspect, who was riding a pink or red bicycle, demanded his cash.
The suspect is described as 5’8” tall with a slim build and was last observed wearing a blue bubble style hooded jacket and black pants.
While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him.
