Amazon officials stated that they are ready to hire more than 9,000 full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs at its New Jersey facilities today.
According to company officials, candidates can apply for positions with the online retail giant's customer fulfillment centers and delivery facilities at a hiring event today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Newark Airport in Elizabeth.
Officials say job seekers can walk-in, apply and receive a job offer on-the-spot as they expect to fill nearly 9000 spots.
Amazon announced last week that they would raise their minimum wage for all employees - including part-time and temporary workers - to $15 an hour as of Nov. 15.
