The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying additional victims of Ethan Z. Chandler, 42, of Belleville, who has been charged with second-degree luring a child, and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy on multiple occasions.
Chandler was initially arrested on Dec. 1st. at his apartment by members of the New Jersey State Police, who executed a search warrant and seized computers, his cell phone and other potential evidence.
He was charged at that time with second-degree luring a child and lodged in the Essex County Jail. He was released and arrested again on Wednesday, December 7 as a result of the ongoing investigation by the State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit (DTIU) and Division of Criminal Justice Cyber Crimes Unit.
Chandler operates a video production company that involves filming sports events at schools across the region, which brings him into close contact with children. He posts weekly video highlight packages of high school football on YouTube.
Detectives have determined that Chandler resided in Bergen, Essex, and Morris Counties while living in New Jersey. He also lived in the towns of Norwalk, Stamford, and Monroe in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and the mid-1990s, Davidson County, Tennessee.
Police encourage victims or someone with knowledge of a possible victim to call the New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit at (609) 584-5051 ext. 5624 or email at hitech@gw.njsp.org.
