Newark Public Safety Director urges anyone with information on two men caught on video tape violently beating a woman on Thursday to contact police.
The attack happened about a block away from City Hall on Broad Street where a man was observed by police on the video engaged in a physical struggle when a second suspect who wore a white T-shirt, black jeans, a wave cap, and a book bag began to kick the woman in the face, stomped her head, and strike her with a closed fist several times before the attack ended.
Police urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects to call the department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
