A 8-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle this evening, suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Police responded to the 200 block of Blancke Street sometime before 7 p.m. for a report of a child struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police found a 9-year-old girl suffering from a leg injury after she was struck by a vehicle as she was riding her bike.
The girl was transported to University Hospital in Newark with non-life threatening injuries. At this time, it appears she may have fractured her leg, added police.
No summonses were issued to the driver who remained at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
