Newark – Essex County Sheriff Armando B. Fontoura’s Crimestoppers Program is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the April 27, 2016 murder of Raymond Arias, 19, of Newark.
Police said on April 27 at approximately 8:50 p.m. Arias was shot while traveling on Nairn Place in Newark.
He died from his injuries at 9:26 p.m.
Arias was a passenger in a car when an unknown person began shooting at the car, striking Arias.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective’s from the Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are asking friends of Arias to come forward.
