Authorities in Newark are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect who they believe is in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday.
According to police , at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to a business located at Broad and Miller Streets on a call of a robbery.
Units arrived to the scene where they were approached by a 55-year-old male who was robbed of cash inside the establishment police said.
Video surveillance captured the suspect who is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot, 8-inches tall and was wearing a red “Nike” sweat suit, gray hat, and white sneakers.
Police said the suspect fled in a black, 4-door vehicle, depicted in the second photo (suspect vehicle is on the left).
This investigation is active and ongoing.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous authorities said.
