$50K Powerball Ticket Sold in Monmouth County

Monmouth County

Two big jackpots give New Jersey Lottery players a chance to win big money and end this year as a multi-millionaire!

The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled to $305 million for the drawing on Friday, Dec. 21st and the Powerball jackpot for Saturday, Dec. 22nd is at $281 million, giving lottery plays two chances to try their luck at ending the year as a multi-millionaire!

In last night’s Powerball drawing, one ticket sold in New Jersey matched four of the five white balls and the winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have been worth $100,000.

The winning ticket from Wednesday night’s drawing was sold at Rumson Wine & Spirit, 5 W. River Rd., Rumson in Monmouth County.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Dec. 19th drawing were: 15, 29, 31, 37 and 43. The Red Power Ball number was 16. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $281,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Dec. 22nd at 10:59 pm.

In addition to the third-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were 27,609 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $138,975 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey.

"Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Carey. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
