Newark –Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced today that the victim in Saturday’s homicide has been identified as Gary Wyckoff, 45, of Newark.
Wyckoff was fatally shot multiple times at 49 Sherman Avenue, a place believed to be an after hours club, at approximately 5:28 am on Saturday. Wyckoff was taken to University Hospital were he was pronounced dead at 6:50 a.m authorities said.
Authorities said, at t this time no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. The investigation is active an ongoing.
