4 Reasons You Need A Monthly Marriedpreneur Legacy Meeting

By: Sway/O.L Buckley

43% of all people expect to fail before February, and almost one out of four quit within the first week of setting their New Year’s resolution.

Although we’re not solely focusing on resolutions, we are focusing on annual goals as marriedpreneur couples willing to work to achieve said targets.

Today marks the first day of the last month of Q1.

Do you know what that means?

Success-Mapping Call

According to the statistics, most people who set goals for the year have already fallen off course. But there’s good news! That doesn’t have to be your story! Even if you have already drifted from your initial focus for the year and want to get back on track, you are in the right place!

Now (as in today) is the perfect time to realign the annual goals and position yourselves to hit your quarterly goals in the next 30 days. If you’re discouraged by your lack of growth since setting out your annual goals, don’t be. Most goals require more time and energy than often anticipated.

In addition to missed expectations, another culprit in quitting on goals is being inflexible to tweak throughout the year. As a marriedpreneur couple, there are so many moving parts and ideas that it’s easy to get discouraged from chasing ‘squirrels’’. This leads us to the importance of having monthly legacy meetings.

Here are the top 4 reasons marriedpreneur couples should have monthly legacy meetings.

  1. Get out of ‘reactive’ mode. With time moving so quickly, shifting to reactive mode instead of proactive readiness is easy. If you’ve never seen a tail waging a dog, this would be it, and it’s not sustainable. It’s draining.
  2. You both need a set time to review and refresh your annual goals together. When it’s easy to drift by distractions thinking you’re being productive when you’re just busy, this sacred time helps you both get back on track (or stay on track).
  3. We invest in what we cherish most. If you’re serious about building your marriage and business with the optimal positioning to win against the hurdles that await, you’ll use these monthly meetings to make regular deposits.
  4. Update your strategy for the new twists life may have thrown over the last 30 days. If you try to build a new boat with an outdated strategy, it’ll sink every time. Sinking creates disappointment which gives way to discouragement. When we are discouraged, we lose the strength to hope. Hope is needed to keep going each day. These meetings protect your hope.

If you haven’t done any meetings yet this year, and you’re reading this, you still have time. Please take advantage of the gift of time we have today with your spouse. Steward the opportunity well so you won’t regret wasting precious time.
