37-Year-Old Man Killed in Linden Identified; Homicide Under Investigation

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place late Thursday night in Linden, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Friday. 

It was approximately 11:20 p.m. Thursday when Linden Police Department patrol units responding to a shots-fired call arrived at the 300 block of Price Street in Linden to find 37-year-old James Garner suffering from gunshot wounds in a second-floor apartment unit. 

Garner was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. 

This shooting remains under joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force and the Linden Police Department.
