Passaic County authorities reported that at approximately 6:25 a.m. today, Paterson Police responded to the area of 12th Avenue and East 23rd Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, but no victim was found.
Shortly after, police were advised that a 32-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim was in the area of 12th Avenue and East 22nd Street when he was shot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
