Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 3-year-old child last night in Trenton.
According to police, officers responded to the 100 block of Exton Avenue at approximately 8:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police learned that a boy - injured by gunfire - was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
Based on preliminary information, police believe the 3-year-old boy was injured by gunfire when gunfire erupted outside the residence.
The child suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder and is said to be in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
