About five people escaped a raging 3-alarm fire that destroyed a house in North Brunswick early this morning.
Heavy fire broke out inside a home in the 600 block of Georges Road sending firefighters to the scene where crews observed heavy flames ripping through the structure shortly after 1 a.m.
Upon arrival to the fire, witnesses informed crews that several people were trapped inside the house, but firefighters learned later that the occupants had made it out by jumping from windows.
EMS transported the victims to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in a little over an hour.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
