29-Year-Old Man Wanted for Allegedly Punching Teen Boy in the Face

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Joshua Robinson, 29, of Newark, on a charge of aggravated assault in an incident that occurred on Friday, February 16th.

According to a statement released by Director Ambrose, at approximately 4:20 p.m., police responded to South 15th Street and Madison Avenue on a call of an assault.

Upon officers arrival, the victim advised police that Robinson reportedly struck a 15-year old male with his fists at a bus stop following a quarrel.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Joshua Robinson as a suspect in this incident and have secured a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Aggravated Assault Director Ambrose said.

Director Ambrose says Robinson is described as 5’10” tall and 165 lbs. with brown eyes and has a bald head with a birthmark on his forehead.

While police are actively searching for Robinson, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
