One California Lottery player won the $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot from the Wednesday, July 19, drawing.
Lottery officials said this was the third-largest Powerball jackpot and the seventh-largest U.S. lottery jackpot in history.
The cash value is $558 million.
Two New Jersey Lottery tickets matched five of the five white balls drawn, winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
- Bergen County: Metro Liquor, 100 Broadway, Elmwood Park; and,
- Essex County: Galaxy Liquors, 410-412 Central Ave., Orange.
In addition to the second-tier prize winners, 12 New Jersey Lottery tickets matched four of the five white balls, and the Power Ball drawn winning the $50,000 third-tier prize.
One of those tickets was purchased with Power Play, multiplying the prize to $100,000.
