There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the 5 white balls drawn to win the $1,000,000 second-prize for the Wednesday, March 28 drawing.
If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have doubled the prize to $2,000,000.
The winning ticket was purchased in Mercer County at Risoldi’s Great Value Market, 3100 Quakerbridge Rd., Mercerville.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, March 28 drawing were: 06, 08, 26, 52 and 53. The Red Power Ball number was 21. The Multiplier number was 02. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $50,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, March 31 at 10:59 pm.
In addition to the second prizewinning ticket sold, there were 20,299 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $103,143 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director John M. White.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said White. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase.”
Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.
