A community is mourning the death of an 18-year-old Clifton high school student, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a bicycle crash.
According to police, Jose DeJesus was riding a bike with a boy on the handlebars when they crashed into a car driving on Sixth Street near Lincoln Avenue, Sunday around 12:45 a.m.
According to Detective Sgt. Robert Bracken, DeJesus succumbed to his injuries Thanksgiving day.
The other boy suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
According to friends and family, a candlelight vigil has been scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at the high school.
No criminal charges have been filed.
