One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $156,606 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Friday, March 29th drawing.
The winning numbers were: 03, 16, 19, 24 and 31 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is US 1 Exxon, 11 East Edgar Rd., Linden in Union County.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at US 1 Exxon. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Carey announced that there were 302,897 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 69 ticketholders won $373 each and 11 others won $746 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 2,052 ticketholders won $13 each and 375 others won $26 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 4,656 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
