A Union teenager, who was outside his Union Township home Saturday night, was robbed and assaulted Union, police reported.
On Saturday police responded to the 1400 block of Walker Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. for a report of a robbery. The 15-year-old-victim told police that he was outside his home talking to friends after a party had ended. He was than approached by a group of males, Union Police Capt. Scott Breslow
One of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded his possessions.
The suspect struck the victim in the side of his head with the gun, which knocked the victim to the ground. While on the ground, the victim said one of the assailants punched him in the face and went through his pockets, stealing his cellphone before fleeing the area, Breslow said.
The suspects were described as black males in their upper teens.
The victim had a minor cut and was treated at the scene, added the captain.
