A winning Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000 was sold in East Orange, according to New Jersey Lottery officials.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Sajoma Supermarket LLC, located at 451 Springdale Avenue, for the December 13th drawing.
The winning numbers for Friday’s drawing were 36, 43, 52, 58, and 65, with the gold Mega Ball 16.
Lottery officials also announced that the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever offered in December will be up for grabs next Tuesday, December 17—just in time for the holiday season.
While the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are steep—standing at 1 in 302,575,350, according to the Ohio Lottery—players are encouraged to try their luck as the jackpot continues to grow.
For one East Orange winner, the season is already off to a bright start.
