Elizabeth Firefighters are battling a fierce multi-alarm fire at a Bond Street home this afternoon.
The fire which was reported shortly after 6 p.m., had emergency services dispatched to 853 Bond Street, where they encountered heavy flames in the rear of the structure, which quickly brought the fire to three-alarms as of approximately 6:12 p.m.
Officials are not sure at this time, if anyone was living on the second floor or attic but did say that all residents self-evacuated without injuries.
Crews from Linden, Union and Hillside responded for mutual assistance.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The crews did a great job containing exposure to both homes on either sides, which only sustained minor damage, the chief said.
As of the 7:09 p.m., the fire was contained to the home where fire began but was still burning in the attic.
