Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Newark that sent a man to the hospital in serious condition.
Gunfire rang out around 10 PM last night in the area of Clinton Ave. and Fabyan Place sending police and EMS to the scene where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was taken to University Hospital where he was reported to be in serious condition.
A crime scene was established as police searched for evidence and a suspect.
