A late Sunday evening shooting that occurred in the 200 block of Rose Street in Newark sent three people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police returned to the scene today to collect shell casings after more than 40 rounds of gunfire was sprayed in the area and into a house shortly before 10 p.m. at that location. The gunfire sent residents scrambling for cover inside their homes for what some people in the neighborhood said what seemed like almost 10 minutes of gun blast.
The victims were transported via private vehicle to the emergency room at University Hospital where their condition was reported as non-life threatening.
The vehicle was also fired upon and had evidence of several bullet holes according to reports.
