LINDEN POLICE INVESTIGATE GAS STATION ROBBERY

Police in Linden are investigating a robbery of a gas station that occurred on Friday evening. Officered responded to the Gulf Station, located at 101 N. Park Ave. on a report of a robbery in progress around 10:30 PM. 

 The attendant, a 54 year old man, told officers that he was standing in the attendant’s booth when two dark-skinned males, around the ages of 20-24, approached him. The attendant added that one of the  suspects grabbed him by the neck while the other  poked him in the stomach with a sharp object, which he believed what may have been a knife. The attendant said that the suspects took approximately $80.00 cash from him before the men fled on foot heading north on N. Park Ave. 

The suspects were described as thin build, approx. 6’0”, with one of the men wearing a red hooded-sweatshirt and the other a black hooded-sweatshirt.

Detectives will be reviewing surveillance footage from the business. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 908-474-8537.
